Based in Cranleigh, near Guildford in Surrey, Windmill Computing has been supplying identification and card technology solutions since 1999.

We specialise in RFID card systems, identification software, and card printing and encoding solutions for businesses, public sector organisations, and other applications that require secure identification and access control.

Our experience spans both off-the-shelf products and bespoke solutions, supported by in-house technical expertise. From product selection and system integration to software development and ongoing support, we help customers implement solutions tailored to their requirements.

Windmill Computing is an established UK and European distributor for several leading manufacturers:

• rf IDEAS – A leading manufacturer of RFID proximity and contactless smart card readers and writers. Windmill has been a principal European distributor for rf IDEAS since 2004.
• Cypress Integration Solutions – Specialists in access control integration, including Wiegand, OSDP and wireless technologies, enabling interoperability between readers, controllers and security systems.
• Javelin – Professional ID card printers, including direct-to-card and retransfer technologies, together with associated consumables and accessories.

We have particular expertise in personalising and encoding contactless smart cards, including MIFARE Classic and MIFARE DESFire, and in integrating RFID readers and writers with third-party applications.

Alongside our distribution activities, we develop and support specialist software, giving customers and system integrators the technical knowledge to take identification projects from concept through deployment.
